Green Tomato Ketchup

Makes approx 1.5l (maybe a bit less if you reduce it more)

Ingredients

  • 1.8Kg Green Tomatoes
  • 2 Apples
  • 2 Medium Onions
  • 250g Sugar
  • 1.5 tsp Pickling Spice
  • 1 large Red Chilli (stalk removed)
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 350ml White Wine Vinegar

Method

  1. Peel and roughly chop onion & apple (remove core)
  2. Stick everything in food processor until finely chopped
  3. Bring to boil and simmer for 1 – 1.5 hours
  4. Food process again
  5. Pass through sieve
  6. Reduce to desired consistency
  7. Bottle into sterilised bottles
  8. Enjoy!
